GENERAL INFORMATION
The GAA is Geelong’s local arts council, established in 1998, and affiliated to Regional Arts Victoria. The GAA is a cross artform membership based organisation, committed to community cultural development in the Geelong region, collaborative actions by local practitioners, and the development and production of new contemporary art and ideas!!
Members receive the bi-monthly newsletter, access to the resources of the arts alliance including its newly established office and computer facilities, subscriptions and newsletters, information on funding and exhibition opportunities, database and mailing lists, auspicing services, invitations to openings at Front Artspace and arts alliance events, and the ability to inform and direct the arts alliance in its future direction.

In partnership with Geelong Performing Arts Centre, the Geelong Arts Alliance has established a community arts centre in central Geelong, in close proximity to GPAC, Cavalier Art Supplies, Geelong Art Gallery and Geelong's Arts Precinct. Housing the Front Gallery, meeting and small workshop spaces, GAA's home is set to become a place where contemporary art meets local community.
